What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garden Center Emoloyee position at Rosie's Gardens and Hughes Landscape?
Rosie’s is a family-owned and operated garden center and landscaping business on Indy’s north side. Our retail space covers over twelve acres; we sell trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, tools, supplies, pottery, fountains, statuary and more. We offer installation of trees and shrubs to the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers and assist with plant and other merchandise selection
- Maintain annual and perennial plant material, i.e. water, trim, monitor for disease and insects, apply fertilizer and other necessary chemicals
- Operate cash register
- Unload incoming deliveries
- Price, label, and display plant material and other merchandise
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of plants is highly preferred
- Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours per day
- Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions
- Available and willing to work at least one weekend day
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
