What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager position at Rosie's Handcrafted Ice Cream?
RHIC is an ice cream shop that serves homemade traditional hard ice cream, milkshakes and ice cream novelties. All ice cream, including the vast majority of our add-ins, is made in our on-site kitchen on Utica Street in Buffalo. The manager position will be the lead of the scoop shop, reporting directly to ownership.
The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about being leader of a smooth and productive service staff. They will be able to multitask well, implement systems that encourage quality customer experience, staff engagement and most importantly, efficient and monetarily sound business practices.
This job will be 40 hours/week. Weekend work is necessary. Healthcare contributions can be available for the right candidate and will be considered as part of an inclusive compensation package.
Responsibilities will include:
- TRAINING: Training of new and existing team members. This is potentially the most important role of the store manager
- INVENTORY: Helping track inventory of all shop necessities, as well as, communication and ordering of these items
- SCHEDULING: Scheduling of shifts for scoop shop team members
- COMMUNICATION: Regular candid conversations with ownership regarding customer and employee feedback, shop systems and their efficacy, staffing, product, etc.
Store Manager performance expectations & essential functions:
- Ensures completion of daily, weekly and extended timeline checklists shop for cleanliness
- Maintains flow, pace and standards for excellence in the scoop shop
- Responsible for highest quality service from employees
- Operates with high respect for sanitation best practices; maintains a clean and orderly area
- Brings enthusiasm and responsibility to the job every day. Helps create a positive vibe in the shop and is always ready to learn and teach
- Helps refine and improve RHIC systems and all aspects of RHIC experience
- Be an advocate for the betterment of the shop through critical thinking, employee management, and customer experience design
- Ensure proper stocking of all necessary inventory items on a daily basis
- Problem solving and independent thinking when on shift to answer questions and resolve issues
- Properly treat and handle employee issues as necessary

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
