Rosie’s Tiny Tots Daycare Ministry is a family friendly and family focused childcare service that has served the Far-Eastside community for over twenty years. We are a Path to Quality Level 3 childcare which consistently educates children and meets their developmental needs for elementary school success.

Rosie’s childcare environment is a family environment with a professional edge in which we have a wonderful time together with in-house competitions, games, adult evening excursions and holiday celebrations.

After-school teachers are responsible for the education and care of children in an after-school program.

The Before and After School Teachers required skills/education/experience are to be the following:

· Earned High School diploma or GED

· Prefer early childhood or elementary school experience of minimum five years

· Prefer candidate with early childhood CDA credential or willingness to acquire CDA within six months of hire date

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook

· Proficient in using simple apps, such as Brightwheel

· Be a licensed driver with a good driving record

The Before and After School daily duties and responsibilities are as follows:

· Planning, preparing, and implementing an approved game style curriculum that includes language studies, math, art, or social studies during school breaks

· Overseeing daily lesson plans and activities that focus on developing children's social and motor skills.

· Assisting children with assignments and homework, such as reading, writing, and math.

· Preparing learning materials and equipment, such as books, arts and crafts, stationery, and other supplies as needed.

· Interacting with children to provide guidance, emotional support, and motivation to complete tasks.

· Creating monthly or quarterly progress reports to monitor children's scholastic development and personal growth.

· Messaging parents to discuss their children's performance and any areas in need of improvement.

· Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment and ensuring students conduct themselves appropriately.

· Ensuring that all school rules, policies, and guidelines are adhered to in the classroom.

· Ability to foster a fun and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.

· Strong knowledge of child behavior and learning patterns.

· Ability to work with children and remain friendly, calm, and patient at all times.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to set rules and guidelines for children to follow.

· Solid organizational skills and ability to maintain a tidy and neat classroom.

The right candidate should be a “kid magnet” as defined by our company as someone that children love to see come and hate to see go. As a Before and After School Teacher the candidate must have the personality skill and intuitiveness to work with families of all types and be understanding and appreciative of each family’s culture that may not be their own. Lastly, the right candidate should be self-assured and a proven leader through some leadership experience of managing people of multiple ages and getting the best performance out of them through encouragement, coaching, modeling and well-developed training.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
