What You'll Do :
Responsible for designing control systems to regulate the behavior of dynamic systems. This involves analyzing system requirements, developing mathematical models, and designing control algorithms to achieve desired performance objectives.
- Implement the control algorithms in software or hardware components, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or microcontrollers.
- Conduct testing and simulations to validate the performance of control systems and fine-tune controller parameters to optimize system response and ensure stability and robustness.
- Continuously monitor the behavior of controlled processes, using feedback from sensors and other data sources. Assess system performance and adjust maintain optimal operation.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics of any system issues and implementing corrective actions to restore normal operation.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless communication and coordination between different components of the overall system.
- Become knowledgeable on all company GMP's and prioritize safety considerations in designs and implementations, ensuring that control systems meet regulatory standards and safety requirements.
- Advises department management on the type of data available, how best to acquire and store that data for current and new equipment. Along with maintaining detailed documentation of control system designs, configurations, and changes for reference and future troubleshooting.
- Provide upgrades and enhancements for control systems and incorporate new features or enhancements to improve system performance. Stay up to date on the latest technology regarding industrial networking trends, software, and hardware.
- Coordinate control system integration, testing, and commissioning in larger engineering projects.
- In conjunction with the Information System department will design and maintain RFP's industrial network along with maintaining the plants' internal messaging systems and SCADA software.
- Provide support on all maintenance and engineering projects which can include design, troubleshooting and layout of new and existing equipment, collaborating with various vendors on project quotes and managing vendors to ensure project completion in a timely manner.
- May be required to work off shifts, weekend, and holidays.
- Assist with research on new and existing equipment documentation and maintain all information found, including but not limited to :
- Spare parts lists.
- Alternate and current vendors.
- Equipment electrical drawings and BOM.
- Warranty information.
- Any other supporting documentation, as required.
