Job Summary:
As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will assist in developing and maintaining regulatory programs, ensuring compliance with USDA, FDA, and other food safety regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain documentation, manage compliance systems, and support product development.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Develop a strong understanding of company food safety, quality, and product development systems.
✔ Maintain compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (BRCGS), USDA, FDA, and customer regulations.
✔ Manage and support company food safety software and ERP systems.
✔ Assist with supplier and co-packer quality documentation.
✔ Generate reports on regulatory trends, compliance data, and audit findings.
✔ Support internal audits and participate in third-party audits.
✔ Assist in USDA label approvals and product specification development.
Qualifications:
✔ Associate degree in food science, business, or a related field.
✔ 7-10 years of experience in a technical role within a food manufacturing environment.
✔ Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory compliance.
✔ Experience with USDA, FDA, and food labeling laws.
✔ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
✔ Proficiency in compliance and food safety software systems.
