What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor / 2nd Shift position at Rosina Food Products?
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatching, to ensure smooth logistics and on-time deliveries.
- Manage warehouse inventory through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP system (QAD), ensuring data accuracy, conducting regular cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies.
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff, making employment decisions and coordinating disciplinary actions as needed.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations teams to coordinate production plans, material requirements, and inventory levels based on anticipated demand.
- Actively participate in safety programs, perform safety checks, and enforce safe practices within the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of warehouse equipment, initiating maintenance work orders as required.
- Support quality control by managing food safety-related audits and maintaining required records.
- Coordinate internal and external shipments, including product shuttling between company locations and third-party warehouses.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with automated forecasting and inventory management systems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to work in cold environments, lift up to 60 pounds, and operate motorized warehouse equipment.
Work Environment:
This role requires the ability to operate in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 60 pounds and working in cold conditions. The successful candidate will also regularly operate motorized warehouse equipment.
