Duties
- Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes in condition or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Assist clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety during transfers and movements.
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, focusing on memory care strategies when applicable.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care is delivered.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an In Home Caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in patient monitoring and the ability to recognize changes in client conditions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
