Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Experience
- Previous experience in home health care, nursing home settings, or long-term care is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to assist clients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
