A Southwestern Level II, 200-bed medical center is excited to recruit two spine-focused general neurosurgeons to the team! The hospital is in a beautiful northern suburb of one of the largest cities in the United States. Interests in routine spine, along with scoliosis, MIS and / or endoscopic spine will be well supported. The group is happy to consider those with experience and newly trained graduates.
The recruiting hospital is part of a supportive, physician-friendly health system with more than half of the medical centers ranked Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
Practice Highlights :
- Call will be 1 : 5-6. An APP will be assigned to each new hire. APPs take first call, round, and assist in the OR.
- Tremendous volume exists, with a strong in-house referral base.
- The hospital is currently expanding, adding another 100 beds by 2027.
- Catchment area is 400,000, conservatively.
- No ortho spine surgeons; two of the three neurosurgeons that share call do not have an elective practice.
- There are two neurohospitalists on staff.
- The hospital offers a stable team of anesthesiologists, OR and critical care staff well versed in neurosurgery cases.
- General surgeons are available to act as access surgeons for the more complex cases.
- Clinic space is attached to the hospital.
- Block OR time readily available for new hires.
- Equipment includes Brainlab Cirq and Loop-X along with the Aero CT and Kinevo 900.
