CNC Plasma Operator
ROSS Design and Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC High-Def Plasma Operator. This is a 2ND shift position only. The operator will work with CNC milling machines, ensuring quality production, machine adjustments, and proper work checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and Program high-def plasma cutting machine.
- Follow strict company guidelines for machine operations.
- Perform quality checks and complete daily check sheets.
- Tool changes and adjustments, including boring bars, cutter compensation, and height offset.
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
- Inspect the work area and machines before leaving.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of experience with CNC equipment, particularly CNC plasma tables.
- Proficiency in measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Able to use measuring tools such as a tape measure and calipers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience or willingness to train on forklift and overhead crane operations.
- CAD knowledge is a plus.
Work Environment and Expectations:
- Full-time position with the transition to the 2nd shift.
- Ensuring a safe and clean workspace is essential.
