What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Operator position at Ross Design & Engineering?
- Operate 600 ton stamping presses, hand tools
- Assist in die set and pull operations
- Run production parts through dies
- Check parts and document, maintain quality
- Perform troubleshooting activities to presses
- Manufacture quality product, meeting scheduled dates and quantities
- Assist with documentation, schedule/quantities/quality sign off
- Shuttle parts to correct location within plant, move parts efficiently to next operation
- Ability to work as a team player
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2 years’ experience using production machinery
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and operation required
- Must possess strong basic math skills
- Proven history of working with gauges and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment. Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move throughout the plant. The ability to lift 40 pounds is required. The work requires regular standing, moving about, and involves a variety of physical activities.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
