COLLECTIONS AND ACCOUNTING CLERK
Monday - Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm/3 days of the week. 10:00am - 6:30pm/2 days of the week (not Friday) OR 10:30a to 7pm. This position is onsite - not remote.
Job Summary
The Collections and Accounting Clerk has a variety of different student accounts duties. This is a good job for someone who likes to work with customers on the phone and variety in their workday.
50% of your work will be making outbound calls to active students who are past due on their account. We have experienced co-workers on this team who will help you with training, but you must be a person who looks forward to getting on the phone and working with students.
Customer Service (20%) will be another area of work, where you will be responsible, along with the other staff members for taking incoming calls, most of which are students wanting to make payments or who have questions concerning their student account.
Administrative tasks make up the rest of the job - Assembling, producing, copying, and mailing various student documents. Retrieving select documents from our student management system for use in weekly projects and mailings. Following up on missing data or forms. Supporting the rest of the team with tasks as assigned.
- This is a full time hourly position with full benefits, paid holidays, ATO accrual, and 401k.
- Our payroll is monthly (paid once a month on the last business day of the month)
Requirements
Preference for Associates degree in Accounting/Business, or significant business coursework. Relevant, similar work experience is also desired.
Strong data entry skills necessary, with excellent speed and accuracy
Phone work required, so you should be a person who likes to work on the phone, has great customer service skills and looks forward to helping students problem solve
Ability to focus on repetitive tasks
Experience with MS Office, internet and email, with expertise in Excel required. Pivot tables and V-look up preferred.
Ability to work to meet deadlines and work independently
Must be a team player and be able to effectively interact with staff outside of Accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross
Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
Must have sufficient ability to move around the building
Must have sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use
telephone, read materials
Reference and background check required for employment

and/or financial information.
Protection of the corporation and privacy of corporate proprietary and confidential information
is expected
Professional communication encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication.
Successful communication skills are required for working at Ross and involve the following:
writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting,
and Internet research.
