REGISTERED NURSE TO TEACH NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) PROGRAM - PT - M-F

Our NA instructors love using their vast knowledge to guide students onto new career paths while working a M-F daytime schedule. Programs are 2 weeks long and classes run Monday-Friday, 8-5.Enjoy the medical field and still have your nights and weekends!
Our program typically runs 1 session a month but can go up to 2 depending on student enrollment and your schedule.
Job Summary
As an NA Instructor, you will teach students the Nursing Assistant curriculum as assigned including lecture, laboratory and clinical skills training. Your RN experience in a long-term care facility will prep you to understand and review lesson plans and prepare for class instruction, grade and electronically record assignments, actively promote student retention, support clinicals as applicable, and perform related work as required.
Accountable for the classroom, laboratory and clinical practicum.
Is onsite and available during classroom. lab and off site clinicals
Delivers course work using contemporary teaching strategies and practices
Accurately records student daily attendance
Follows and enforces Student Guidelines
Attends program Advisory Board meeting
Participates in the planning and evaluation of each segment of the curriculum.
Maintains classroom in good physical order, helps to manage program supplies and keep equipment in good repair
Enters classroom at designated time with all necessary materials. Begins and ends class at scheduled times and follows scheduled student break times
All Instructors, Outside of Class Time
Complete a minimum of one preapproved professional development workshop, seminar or course related to the teaching discipline of the Instructor every fiscal year
Attend two Ross Education LLC in-services every fiscal year
Attend formal and informal faculty/staff meetings
BLS instructor certification may be required
Performs related work as required

Requirements
Instructors must qualify as stated below. Any exception will be reviewed on an individual basis and must be approved by the Director of Education.
- Must be licensed Registered Nurse(RN) in the State of Michigan
- Must have a minimum of 1year recent long-term care facility work experience
- 3 or more years total work experience as RN
- Must be able to teach at campus and clinical sites
This program is 35-40 hours/week but doesn't always run consistently.Right now we are running 1 session a month. This is a part time unscheduled position.
