What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA/QC Operations Assistant position at Ross Environmental Services, Inc.?
Purpose: Provide administrative and operational support for waste receiving, QA/QC, and discrepancy resolution.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
OPERATIONS
- Reviews manifest and landban paperwork and reports discrepancies per company procedure.
- Maintains records retention in compliance with regulatory requirements, permit requirements and company policies.
- Responsible for receipt maintenance/manifest validation programs.
- Responsible for waste tracking quality control.
- Responsible for creating, receiving, data entry and filing all inbound and outbound shipping and manifests documents.
- Maintains shipper edits.
TRANSPORATION
- Performs driver return administration and related paperwork
- Performs dispatch (in coordination with RES Logistics) of inbound and outbound materials, as scheduled.
- Creates and/or collects shipping documentation for inbound and outbound materials.
OTHER
- Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
- Understands both RIS’ ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and assists with executing their objectives.
- Performs other job-related duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Formal training or education in a related field is a plus.
- Three or more years of related administrative experience in production planning, receiving or related field.
- Working knowledge/understanding of environmental and related regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA, etc.) is a plus.
- Must have excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Must be able to generate reports and other documents in a timely and quality manner to meet operational and customer needs.
- Must be analytical, detail oriented, and customer-focused.
- Must be able to follow established company procedures, as well as those related to regulatory requirements.
