What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA / QC Operations Assistant position at Ross Environmental Services, Inc.?
Purpose : Provide administrative and operational support for waste receiving, QA / QC, and discrepancy resolution.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions :
OPERATIONS
Reviews manifest and landban paperwork and reports discrepancies per company procedure.
Maintains records retention in compliance with regulatory requirements, permit requirements and company policies.
Responsible for receipt maintenance / manifest validation programs.
Responsible for waste tracking quality control.
Responsible for creating, receiving, data entry and filing all inbound and outbound shipping and manifests documents.
Maintains shipper edits.
TRANSPORATION
Performs driver return administration and related paperwork
Performs dispatch (in coordination with RES Logistics) of inbound and outbound materials, as scheduled.
Creates and / or collects shipping documentation for inbound and outbound materials.
OTHER
Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
Understands both RIS' ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and assists with executing their objectives.
Performs other job-related duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Formal training or education in a related field is a plus.
Three or more years of related administrative experience in production planning, receiving or related field.
Working knowledge / understanding of environmental and related regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA, etc.) is a plus.
Must have excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.
Must have strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Must be able to generate reports and other documents in a timely and quality manner to meet operational and customer needs.
Must be analytical, detail oriented, and customer-focused.
Must be able to follow established company procedures, as well as those related to regulatory requirements.
