Summary:
The Assembly Manager will manage and direct all assembly operations with a focus on production, continuous
improvement, quality control, and employee development. Incumbent creates daily work schedules, follows
standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet quality standards, product specifications, and
production targets. The Assembly Manager will manage and oversee the day-to-day assembly operations for the
Assembly Department, which includes a staff of 20 Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, ensuring best practices
and procedures are followed. Must have at least 5 years of related experience in manufacturing or related industry
with a minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Hire, train, cross train, and mentor staff to improve skills and productivity, ensuring a cohesive and
- Develop, implement and maintain instructions for Ross equipment in collaboration with key departments
- Develop SOP for the Assembly Department.
- Develop and implement processes and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.,) to meet departmental
- Monitor production processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to ensure a smooth transition into the
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, staff, and
- Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to
- Ensure company policies and guidelines are followed to ensure compliance with federal and state
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and production issues, identifying and implementing solutions.
- Track quality issues and machine shortages to ensure the production schedule is not delayed.
- Review Time Standards to improve efficiency as needed; drive and instill a culture of continuous
- Assist with inventory management of materials, tools, and equipment needed for operations.

Background & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience in the manufacturing industry.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals.
- Demonstrated pattern of positive work attributes, strong work ethic, and leadership skills with progressive
- Previous ERP or equivalent experience.
- Valid DL and ability to travel 15% to vendor and customer locations.
- Must be able to analyze options by possessing strong leadership and decision-making skills, thereby
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively and efficiently in oral and written form.
- Proficient in use of standard MS Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
Essential Functions:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time performing work on computer.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
