Job Title: Production Control Clerk
Department: Scheduling/Purchasing/Materials
Reports to: Purchasing & Scheduling Manager
Date: April 2, 2025
Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Control Clerk to join our team. This role will support
both the scheduling and purchasing teams, with 80% of responsibilities focused on production scheduling and 20%
on procurement activities. The ideal candidate will coordinate and maintain production schedules, manage purchase
orders, and facilitate seamless communication between departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling (80% of Role)
- Create and Maintain Production Schedules:
capacity.
o Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, material availability, or
equipment issues.
- Coordinate with Departments:
of raw materials, tools, and equipment for scheduled production.
o Communicate schedule changes and priorities to relevant departments.
- Monitor Production Progress:
o Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and delays to ensure timely production.
Purchasing Support (20% of Role)
- Placing Purchase Orders (POs):
goods and materials.
o Manage purchase orders for external services, streamlining communication and coordination with
vendors.
- Managing Tool Boss and Web Orders from MSC:
- Coordinating Amazon Orders:

Requirements:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a friendly and focused environment.
- Some overtime may be required to complete projects or production demands.
Education and Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, or related field.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production planning, or purchasing a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Comfortable in Excel is a must.
- Familiarity with ERP or scheduling software is advantageous.
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to spend extended periods of time in front of computer.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
This position is full-time and includes a comprehensive Benefits Package; and the typical work schedule is
Monday – Friday.
