The Work Based Learning Coordinator develops, establishes, and maintains relationships with employers, industry leaders, and community partners to create and promote summer internships, summer employment, and work-based learning opportunities for youth. The ideal candidate excels at relationship- building, employer outreach, and youth program development while ensuring alignment with WIOA services to foster growth and success for our youth.
Conducts comprehensive assessments, facilitates pre-employment workshops and skills development activities. Collaborates with Career Advisors to match eligible youth with summer employment, engages employees to identify their workforce needs. Maintains accurate records of program activities, participant progress and employer engagement. Monitors summer internship and employment worksites to ensure compliance with safety standards, program policies and regulatory requirements.
This is a 29 or less hours a week temporary (21 weeks: April- Mid August) position. BA/BS degree preferred but work experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Must have the ability to relate in a positive, professional manner with youth, and staff.
