Position Overview:
Ross High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and staff to provide support for students with diverse learning needs in the classroom. Basic Job Duties:
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering instruction to students.
Provide individual or small group support for students with special needs.
Help with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Support students with personal care, including monitoring and assisting with daily tasks as needed.
Assist with preparing instructional materials and organizing classroom activities.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Work closely with the special education team to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Support students in achieving academic goals and personal development.
Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge of child development and the needs of students with disabilities.
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff in a collaborative and positive manner.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage student behavior in a positive and constructive way.
Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students' success.
Ability to pass a background check and willingness to obtain an Educational Aide Permit through ODEW.
