Qualifications:
Prior experience as and educational Technology Integration Specialist is preferred
In-depth understanding of instructional design and pedagogy with a strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence as it relates to teaching and learning
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and digital platforms and assessment systems (i.e. Schoology, Google Classroom, Google Integration, Clever, Canva, MAP, TIDE, KRA, etc.)
Experience with web page development, presentation, digital video and audio editing, image process, graphic applications, and various operating systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
Experience designing and delivering professional development for educators
General Description:
The Educational Technology Supervisor will lead the integration of educational technology into the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning. This role requires expertise in instructional design, professional development, and the implementation of technology to support effective pedagogy. The supervisor will collaborate with educators, administrators, and IT staff to ensure alignment with educational goals and district-wide initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Curriculum and Instruction Integration:
Collaborate with curriculum leaders to align technology tools with district curriculum standards and instructional strategies.
Design and implement technology-enriched instructional frameworks to support diverse learning styles and needs.
Evaluate and recommend digital tools, platforms, and resources that enhance instructional effectiveness.
Provide support to teachers and staff on incorporating AI/NLP tools into the classroom
Professional Development:
Develop and lead professional learning opportunities for educators and staff, focusing on integrating technology into instruction.
Provide coaching and support for teachers in implementing technology-based teaching strategies.
Stay updated on emerging educational technology trends and share relevant knowledge with staff.
Technology Planning and Implementation:
Support the development and execution of the district’s educational technology plan.
Work with IT staff to ensure seamless implementation and functionality of technology tools in classrooms.
Establish guidelines and best practices for the effective use of educational technology.
Data and Assessment:
Assist educators in leveraging technology to assess student learning and analyze data to inform instruction.
Promote the use of data visualization tools to track student progress and outcomes.
Support teachers in utilizing adaptive learning technologies to personalize instruction.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Serve as a liaison between instructional staff, IT teams, and administration to ensure cohesive integration of technology.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making related to curriculum and technology.
Lead cross-functional committees to evaluate the impact of technology initiatives on teaching and learning outcomes.
Compliance and Equity:
Ensure all technology initiatives comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including accessibility standards.
Advocate for equitable access to technology resources for all students and staff.
Other Duties and Functions:
Assist with projects as needed or appropriate.
Respond to requests for help from professional staff members.
Conduct other duties related to curriculum and instruction as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and/or Superintendent of Schools
Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in an office or school environment, with occasional travel to district schools or conferences.
Must be available for occasional evening or weekend events, such as training sessions or board meetings.
