Ross Nesbit Agencies is looking for an outstanding Account Manager/Customer Service Representative to join our team. We are an independent insurance agency with offices in Minnetonka, St. Paul, and 15 outlying MN locations. This position is in our main Minnetonka, MN office. We write business for over 70 insurance companies and have a wealth of expertise for employees to draw on. We are a family business with a long history of growth and are seeking a candidate who will provide extraordinary customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
As a licensed insurance professional with Ross Nesbit Agencies, your role will include the following:
- Servicing an existing book of business and profitably growing this business
- Processing new business applications, all renewals, endorsements, cancellations, confirmations, address changes, return premium checks, and other miscellaneous mail received from clients
- Preparing and presenting quotes, binding new accounts, and processing changes to existing policies in a timely manner
- Issuing certificates of insurance, state filings, auto ID cards, etc.
- Informing and educating clients about policy coverages and changes
- Advising customers of claims and billing procedures as needed
- Collecting and recording new business deposit premiums
- Processing premium invoices. Obtaining quotes and set up premium financing if needed
- Mailing all documentation to the insured along with any additional correspondence requested by the person who sold the policy. Ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate before giving it to the insured
- Preparing expiration lists monthly for accounts coming up for renewal
- Completing renewal proposals on accounts up for renewal but not being remarketed
- Handling billing questions for insureds
- Preparing past-due reports and advising assigned service person of any down payments or installment payments that have not been received
- Conducting regular account reviews
- Building and maintain rapport with producers, clients, and insurance company underwriters.
- Overseeing and managing collection and maintenance of claims data and records
- Utilizing computerized rating software, including integrated rating and company websites, to provide quotes.
- Utilizing software and Internet sites to gather motor vehicle reports, credit scoring, CLUE reports, photos and inspection reports to assist in the front-line underwriting of new business
- Achieving sales, account development and retention targets as set out in annual agency plans
Hours and Compensation:
- Salary based on experience
- 40 hours per week M - F

Requirements:
- Minnesota Property and Casualty Insurance License (required)
- Knowledge and understanding of Personal Lines insurance (required.)
- 2 years’ experience in the Insurance industry as an account management/customer service representative (required.)
- Sales oriented with strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Collaborative spirit to work effectively with others, fostering positive relationships and teamwork.
- Demonstrated focus on exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, multi-tasking skills, work independently.
