ROLE OVERVIEW :

The Customer Experience Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping journey for our customers. This includes making eye contact, smiling, and offering a gracious greeting to every customer, fostering a respectful workplace for all associates, and adhering to company best practices. You will keep a clean work environment and ensure merchandise is presented properly. Engaging enthusiastically in assigned tasks throughout your shifts is essential, along with being flexible to perform varied responsibilities based on the store's needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors in all activities.
  • Keep a high level of awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and associates; report any unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Treat all customers and team members with respect and professionalism, recognizing fellow associates through company recognition programs.
  • Assist customers with merchandise and inquiries in a friendly, knowledgeable manner; ensure to make eye contact and express gratitude in every interaction.
  • Provide prompt customer service and address concerns courteously; involve store leadership for any complex issues.
  • Consistently represent the company brand positively.
  • Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining high-touch areas to ensure a sanitary environment for customers and team members.
  • Meet and maintain the professional appearance standards set by the company.
  • Effectively merchandise newly received items and adhere to the monthly presentation guidelines to enhance our customers' shopping experience.
  • Understand and apply loss prevention standards to protect merchandise and maintain safety.
  • Safeguard confidential information and demonstrate integrity in all customer and associate interactions.
  • Follow procedures for handling transactions, cash, and refunds with accuracy.
  • Exhibit urgency and efficiency in all tasks to maximize productivity.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
  • Basic mathematical skills relevant to retail transactions.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to operate store equipment as needed.
  • Capability to spend most of the time standing and moving throughout the store.
  • Comfortable with bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting as required.
  • Ability to handle weights exceeding 25 pounds as needed.
