Job Description
The Network Security Engineer III plays a crucial role in protecting Ross' information and assets by envisioning and implementing security improvements. This individual leads initiatives to harden Ross's network security posture and capabilities from concept through delivery, defining and following discreet procedures and protocols to ensure integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, develop, and implement Network Security designs and standards following industry best practices.
- Work with other IT organizations to design, develop, and implement Enterprise Security solutions in support of development, test, and production environments.
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to other IT, Business groups, and Operations team.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies such as Palo Alto on-prem and cloud NextGen firewalls and IPS, email security gateways like Proofpoint, Secure Web Gateway and DLP solutions like Forcepoint, Firewall Auditing solutions like Skybox, ZTNA/SASE solutions like Netskope, Web Application Firewall like Citrix NetScaler, Network Authentication like Fortinet, and Advanced Network Threat Protection.
- Strong knowledge of current information security space with general understanding of current security threats, techniques, and landscape, as well as a dedicated and self-driven desire to research current information on the security landscape.
- At least 10 years of Information Security design and architecture, project engineering experience, and at least 8 years with a large organization.
- Conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, IT Infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services.
