The General Laborers are responsible for the day-to-day safe operations throughout the plant. The general laborer is used to assist as assigned through the facility which includes but not limited to stacking off paper rolls, changing of the paper rolls, waste bailing, and any extra help needed around the facility.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred. Will need to read, write, and perform basic math.
Will train but prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Proficiency in communicating issues quickly.
Reliability in attendance and productivity.Good Communication Skills in general. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Follow all safety protocols.
Moving and lifting heavy rolls of paper. Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications. Sort manufacturing materials or products.
Load, unload, or stack off rolls. Monitor production machinery / equipment operation to detect problems. Clean work area during down time and end of shift.
Constant standing, walking, and reaching at or below shoulder level. Other duties as assigned. Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene and cleanliness is strictly enforced. Applicants must be able to engage in periods of long standing and walking, and perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Range : $15.00 - $17.00 per hour, consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based onthe skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
