About this opportunity ....
The Fashion Assistant I will be responsible for supporting the Associate Director of the LA Fashion Office in providing support and trend direction to the buying teams, as well as completing research and making recommendations to drive sales through sales analysis and market research / comp shopping, in partnership with supervisor.
The base salary for this role is $65,000. The salary listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
What you will do and what you will learn....
- Assist Associate Director in pulling together seasonal trend and color presentations for all relevant meetings (trend reports and seasonal forecasts). Help create trend and color information as directed, utilizing services (WGSN, Fashion Snoops and social media etc.) to collect relative research.
- Analyze reports to identify trends to track and common denominators across businesses. Identify what is working and what is not working.
- Read and understand sales reports, highlighting findings to supervisor.
- Comp / Trend Shop to put together trend reports based on findings. Distributed trend reports to the Fashion Office on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and regularly shop Ross stores to make recommendations to the assortment.
- Attend and prepare for Style-outs and Best Seller Meetings. Attend select Style-out meetings, as directed by supervisor.
- Serve as Fashion Office representative in select meetings when Director is traveling .
- Attend market appointments with Ross team where applicable.
- Work with Doneger / Directives West and WGSN and attend all relevant trend meetings.
- Coordinate samples and style outfits for marketing requests.
