What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane & Rigging Inspector/Technician position at Rossco Crane and Rigging?
Rossco Hook Line & Sling LLC is a new division of Rossco Crane & Rigging specializing in below-the-hook lifting gear inspections, rigging sales & overhead/mobile crane inspections.
The Crane and Rigging Inspector/Technician role involves conducting inspections of below-the-hook attachments used in material lifting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, understand OSHA, ASME, and ANSI standards, and should have hands-on experience in rigging safety and inspection procedures.
- Perform inspections on overhead cranes and below-the-hook lifting devices.
- Assist with other production equipment repairs as assigned.
- Must have at least 1 year experience as a crane and rigging inspector.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license, with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
- CDL license is preferred.
- Successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing.
- Responsible for completing daily work order logs documenting inspections, maintenance, and repair information, to include work performed, materials used, and hours worked on each assigned work order.
- Able to safely climb extension and step ladders.
- Work overtime and weekends when required.
- Work remotely with the possibility of overnight stays.
- Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Forklift experience or ability to learn required.
- Elevated work platform experience or ability to learn.
- Excellent communication and writing skills required.
- Work inside and outside.
