Title: Maintenance Production Manager
Position Type: Full- Time Exempt
Pay Range: $67,000 to $87,000 commensurate with experience.
Location: Sterling VA
Job Summary: Rossen Landscape is actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Production Manager to lead our residential maintenance services and crews. This position will focus on team morale and management, emphasizing client satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
In this management role, you will oversee all aspects of residential landscape maintenance operations and services, including seasonal offerings, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of proven success in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in horticulture and labor budget management. Additionally, strong communication skills are essential for fostering a positive work culture among crew members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership, Management, and Accountability – Lead, manage and hold team members accountable for the effective execution of our client service process as it relates to landscape maintenance.
- Coaching and Mentoring—Foster a culture where crew leaders are continually developed and mentor them to the proper horticulture practices for landscape maintenance services.
- Performance of Maintenance Services with Quality –Monitor and Inspect what we expect from our team’s delivery of products and services.
- Training and Development of Crew Members- Perform Classroom Hands-On Training with Maintenance Crews Regarding Safety and Proper Horticultural Practices
- Labor Budget Management- Ensure all hours are operated according to budgeted hours for all properties and service tickets.
- Ensure Employee Compliance with Company Processes and Policies- Effective communication with team members to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Inventory of Equipment and Trucks Materials- Conduct a monthly inventory of each team’s trucks and maintenance equipment to ensure they are operational and in good working condition for better maintenance services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bi-lingual: We need a production manager to be able to communicate with our entire company's population.
- Maintenance Operations Management: Demonstrated track record of sustained similar position for residential landscape for a minimum of five consecutive years.
- Horticultural Expertise: In-depth horticultural knowledge to train and mentor the team. Provide guidance on proper plant care, disease control, and pest management. Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices.
- Budget Management: Monitor labor and other department expenses to ensure operations are executed within financial parameters. Identify cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
- Knowledge of Snow Operations Management: Lead the training and execution of our snow and ice management services. Coordinate pre-treatment and post-snow event services. Ensure timely and efficient response to weather-related challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Ability to convey complex horticultural concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Regulatory Compliance in VA, MD, & DC: Knowledge of local regulations and environmental standards related to landscaping and horticulture. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance (including snow/ice management services) and enhancements leadership position for a minimum of five consecutive years.

Demonstrate proficiency in horticultural practices for the full array of landscape maintenance services as follows:
- Mowing
- Garden Care (including pruning)
- Agro/IPM
- Seasonal (mulch, aeration, leaf, snow)
- Possess or willing to obtain industry certifications (CLP, CH, CID, CIC, Pest Applicator, OSHA, etc.)
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
