SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Maintenance Team Leader the maintenance mechanic plans and executes the preventive, and condition-based maintenance of all production equipment. This position attends to breakdowns, diagnoses faults, and oversees equipment improvements and time-critical repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems during production and repair as needed. After repair is completed, check repaired item for proper operation.
- Establishes both the preventive and predictive maintenance systems that ensure that equipment is available and capable when needed.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machine maintenance.
- This position will maintain and enforce good departmental housekeeping standards in all areas.
- Identify and stock critical spare parts to support production.
- Meet the production needs through time sensitive repairs and established PM programs on both molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Promote teamwork by demonstrating a spirit of collaboration and cooperation on projects with other shifts and departments striving to meet objectives.
- Ensures the safety needs are given a top priority in operations support and work execution. Some examples are Arc Flash/Shock Hazard safety, confined space entry, LOTO, hazardous materials, hand tool safe use, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting/repairs of production equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery (grease, inspect, oil, tighten, etc. various components including bearings, chains, belts, filters, and etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of molding machine PM requirements.
- Ability to interpret facility wide mechanical systems including HVAC
- Injection molding manufacturing environment experience a plus.
- Lean/5S experience a plus
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
- Ability to travel between facilities and to customer locations.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each
- Walking within and around the site with great frequency
- Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists, eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, , vibration, standing on concrete for the duration of the shift
