Responsibilities – Group IT Director:
- Develop and implement the overall IT strategy across all dealership locations
- Oversee the daily operation of IT systems and infrastructure (hardware, software, and network)
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure data security, compliance, and disaster recovery preparedness
- Lead IT-related projects such as system integrations, CRM/DMS upgrades, and new technology rollouts
- Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of internal processes
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to IT staff and support teams
- Stay up to date on the latest automotive technologies and best practices in dealership IT operations
Qualifications/Requirements – Group IT Director:
- Automotive experience preferred
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the automotive or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of dealership systems, including DMS (Dealer Management Systems), CRMs, and fixed operations software.
- Experience managing multi-location networks and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data compliance regulations.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
