Job Summary / Objective
Smooths surface imperfections and prepares marine tower products for painting by performing the duties listed below.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
Uses a grinder to smooth weld beads and blend to surrounding surfaces.
Uses sanding equipment to smooth any surface imperfections
Works under direct supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, selecting from written instructions, and established procedures.
Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in proper working order.
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, where required, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect paint department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience
1 - 2 years manufacturing experience preferred
Marine, Automotive, or aerospace experience preferred but not required
Work Schedule / Additional Eligibility Requirements
Normal business hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM
This position schedule is 3PM - 1:00AM
Additional overtime required depending on manufacturing needs
New hires will require post offer background check
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand on concrete for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop.
Must be able to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs. of force
Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. for at least 15 feet.
Safety Glasses must be worn at all times when in certain production areas.
Respirator recommended.
Enclosed non-skid shoes must be worn at all times when in the production areas.
