Job Summary / Objective
The Janitor will perform a variety of tasks involving cleaning and sanitizing floors and surfaces in our manufacturing building
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize all frequently touched surfaces
-
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
-
Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture
-
Wash and sanitize restroom toilets and sinks and restock disposables (e.g. soap, paper towels)

Wipe mirrors and windows
-
Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance

Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar role

Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances

Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
-
Attention to detail and conscientiousness

Good physical condition and strength to carry out essential duties
-
A keen eye for detail and diligence is imperative.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
Work Schedule / Additional Requirements

Normal office hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM

This position works 8AM – 4:30PM Monday – Friday

Post Offer Background check and drug screening may be required for new hires
Physical Requirements

Long periods of standing, bending, squatting, twisting,

Handling of various tools and equipment.

Must be willing to work outdoors occasionally.

Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. for at least 15 feet.

Safety Glasses must be worn at all times when in certain production areas.

Enclosed non-skid shoes must be worn at all times when in the production areas.

Other PPE such as hearing protection, gloves, goggles as necessary for certain jobs or in certain areas.
