What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Processor position at Roswell Park Alliance Foundation?
Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, which manages all donations made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, is looking for a part-time gift processor to join our Data Team. This position will be responsible for all phases of gift processing in the Foundation’s database (Raiser’s Edge) and will work on special projects involving problem solving and analytical skills. The position is an integral part of our staff and will help in processing and reporting on thousands of gifts annually from our various initiatives, as well as helping with the “non-data entry” projects that will make our databases a stronger, more accurate resource for everyone at the Alliance Foundation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work on special projects for record clean up and organization.
- Assist with maintaining an accurate master database.
- Timely entry of donor and financial information into Raiser’s Edge systems.
- Research and evaluate all documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure correct data is entered and maintain document master files for backup and verification.
- Process donor acknowledgment letters.
- Learn how to set up and run queries, imports, exports and reports for problem solving and analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to three years of data entry experience
- Expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
- Proficiency in the use of data entry applications
- Organized and detail-oriented individual
- Effective communication skills
- References will be required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and/or Luminate applications, or applicable donor databases
- Experience working in a nonprofit setting, and knowing fundraising fundamentals
- Proficiency in the use of data entry applications
