Job Summary
Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds: Plants flowers, mows, pulling weeds, repairs structures, and maintains outside of building. Must be self-motivated and detail oriented as you will be responsible for testing outdoor power equipment parts in a controlled environment. Duties will include other maintenance responsibilities as directed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties at multiple locations.
- Maintain a Service / Maintenance Log on all equipment, including dates that blades, filters, trimmer line and other products are changed on units.
- Maintain a log on dates and times that all properties are cared for.
- Keep maintenance building clean and organized including the tagging and inventorying of all parts replaced on equipment. This will help control our test environment.
- Maintain all fuels, oils and other chemicals in a safe and compliant manner.
- Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
- Apply pesticides to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ants, etc.
- Apply fertilizer to lawn as needed
- Pune trees as needed.
- Edge and blow off / sweep parking lots, walkways and dock areas.
- Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
- Water plants and grass as needed
Requirements:
- Landscaping experience required
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR
- Must have knowledge of lawn chemicals and their proper use
- Pesticide license desired but not required
- Willing to work after hours and on Saturday
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be able to work under adverse climatic conditions such as extremely hot or cold temperatures or light rain.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
