Job Summary: As a Dietary Cook/Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. You will work closely with our Dietary team to ensure that all meals are nutritious, delicious, and served in a timely manner. This position is available as either a full-time role or two part-time roles, with swing shift hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and residents' preferences.
- Assist with meal planning and menu development.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and organized.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Assist in serving meals to residents and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory and supplies.
- Collaborate with the Dietary team to address any dietary concerns or special requests from residents.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a dietary/cook role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible swing shift hours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as stand for long periods.
