Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities
● Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance bases on life safety codes and severity of need.
● Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
● Recruiting, supervising and training maintenance technicians
● Keep all facilities in working standards where they follow, State Fire Marshal, CMS, and DIA.
● On call will be required in the event of fires, emergencies and DIA required tasks.
Job brief
● You will manage all maintenance in all locations.
● Provide technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire systems, & etc.
● Training staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations that follow proper operation with needed staff.
● Must be reliable and have a great eye for detail.
● Ability to work independently or as a team when necessary
● Be efficient and productive with multiple tasks each day.
Responsibilities
● Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
● Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
● Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
● Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
● Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
● Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
● Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
● Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
● Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
● Maintain logs of nursing and facility equipment.
● Review nursing and facility equipment for any breakdowns. Any repairs or adjustments need to be scheduled or handled in a timely manner.
Requirements
● Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
● Ability to delegate work and allow team to work independently
● Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, mechanical, fire systems, & etc.)
● Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
● Understanding of budgeting and performance management
● Excellent planning and leadership abilities
● An eye for detail
● Computer savvy
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● High school diploma
● Professional Certifications are preferred
