Overhead Door Tech - (Rotational Schedule) – Prudhoe Bay, AK

This is a remote/ rotational position, working three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose: 

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of various styles of commercial industrial doors and door operating systems, primarily overhead doors. 

Essential Job Functions: 

·       Installs, maintains, and performs preventive maintenance of various styles of doors and door operating systems.

·       Modifies existing doors and operating systems to comply with current fire and buildings codes.

·       May be responsible for direct purchase of parts from vendors and manufacturers.

·       Performs man lift operations and standard rigging, including rigging hand signals.

·       Calculates balance, weight, and cable lengths.

·       Communicates with client on a frequent basis. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  

·       Skilled in man lift operation and standard rigging practices including rigging hand signals.

·       Ability to calculate balance, weight, and cable lengths.

·       Ability to work with minimal supervision.

·       Experience with direct purchase of parts from vendors and manufacturers.

·       Must be able to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with client, fellow workers and alternate and demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.

·        Kneel 60 seconds, stand, kneel 60 seconds, stand.

·        Squat 60 seconds.
