WHAT DOES YOUR DAY AS A RESTAURANT PREP COOK ENTAIL?
In this full- or part-time food service position, you play an important supportive role in our restaurant kitchen. Each day, you assist your fellow staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients. You diligently complete a variety of important tasks, including organizing ingredients and properly labeling food items in all storage areas as well as chopping, mixing, and assembling food.
Committed to safety and cleanliness, you thoroughly sanitize your workstation before, during, and after every service. You also help clean the entire kitchen, ensuring optimal conditions for meal preparation. As our Restaurant Prep Cook, you tackle your duties with enthusiasm, making each shift fun and exciting !
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A RESTAURANT PREP COOK?
- ServSafe food handling certification
- Understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices
- Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
- Basic math skills with a clear understanding of all cooking measurements
