Warehouse Shipping Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory control.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize space utilization, improve workflow, and enhance efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and well organized warehouse.

2. Inventory Control:

• Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory.

3. Staff Supervision and Development:

• Recruit, train, and manage shipping staff.
• Work with HR to Conduct performance reviews and address employee issues promptly and professionally.

4. Logistics Coordination:

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with suppliers, carriers, and customers.
• Work closely with the purchasing department on inventory discrepancies, issues and special requests.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure all equipment and practices meet safety and operational standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (preferred).

• Experience: 5 years in warehouse management or operations with supervisory experience.

• Skills:

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and logistics processes.
• Certifications (optional): OSHA certification, Six Sigma, or similar.
