Rothman Orthopaedics is looking for a per diem Hand Therapist to support our New Jersey offices! The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent, adult and geriatric orthopedic population. Job Title: Hand Therapist
Hours: Mon - Fri: 7am - 5pm
Status: per diem - will work on an as-needed basis

- will be asked to provide coverage in as many of our New Jersey offices as candidate is commutable to
Qualifications:
- Masters degree and successful completion of an accredited PT or OT school required
- Must have active, valid New Jersey OT/PT licensure
- CHT preferred; OT/PT with hand experience actively working towards CHT will be considered
- 5 years of experience minimum required
- Experience fabricating static and dynamic splints required
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
Essential Duties:
- Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic, including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.
- Provides evaluations, treatments, and goal setting of patients.
- Custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
- Evaluates patients' progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.
- Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members.
- Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.
- Participates in staff in-services, monthly rounds and research.
- Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
