Description
The Research Fellow utilizes clinical knowledge and skills to assist with orthopaedic related clinical research studies. Prepares written research documents and IRB document submissions.
- Participates in data collection and analysis of research projects.
- Performs literature searches as relevant to the assigned research topic.
- Assists with the preparation and writing of abstracts and manuscripts.
- Obtains, reviews, and extracts pertinent data elements for clinical studies.
- Digitizes and catalogues radiographs as defined per study protocols.
- Attends outpatient office hours, and assists with completion of research data sheet, whenever required.
- Prepares presentations pertinent to clinical research projects.
- Ensures safe keep of all research material.
- Attends and actively participates in weekly research meeting to discuss the status of research projects.
- Complies with instructions delivered by the Research Director and/or the RI surgeons.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Qualifications:
- BS, BA
- Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) degree
- One (1) year experience in medical research
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
