Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Workers' Compensation Business Development Specialist based in our Center City Philadelphia office!
Job Summary:
The Workers' Compensation Business Development Specialist acts as a liaison between the practice and referral sources. This role will be responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with employers, insurance carriers, nurse case managers and providers to grow RO Workers' Comp services. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, increasing referrals and ensuring that the referral process runs as seamless as possible.
Key Accountabilities:
- Number of WC appointments
- Number of IME/legal revenue
Essential Duties:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with employers, insurance carriers, nurse case managers and providers to increase RO WC volume
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Ensure that the referral process runs as seamless as possible for both new and existing referrals sources. This may include assisting with appointment scheduling, sending quick notes, speaking with RO physicians, etc.
- Prepare and distribute WC collateral materials and promote the Rothman Direct WC program to referral resources
- Maintains workers’ compensation database in Salesforce & ECW
- Schedule and coordinate worker's comp seminars and helps with in-services and lectures.
- Responds to all requests from nurse case managers, adjusters and attorneys and all other relevant referral sources with regard to workers’ compensation issues
- Collaborate with WC Management team on process improvements
- Runs reports and tracks new patient referrals.
- Communicates with RO physicians and clinical staff on comp issues. Communicates with referring providers on a daily basis with issues and questions
- Works with Follow-up Representatives to resolve any billing issues regarding Workers Compensation
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Three (3) years in the workers' compensation field
- Medical insurance billing knowledge required
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
