Job Overview

Rothmeyer TEC Inc (RTEC) is hiring Entry-Level Tower Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience performing tower construction, inspections, repairs, and maintenance on communication towers and high-frequency antenna systems. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from industry experts while working on cutting-edge wireless infrastructure. Significant travel is required, with deployments of up to one month at a time.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on communication towers using hand and power tools
• Install, replace, and upgrade antennas, radios, cables, and tower structural components
• Operate and maintain survey and test equipment (Compass, Alignment Tool, Sweeps, PIM, Fiber, Microwave, etc.)
• Maintain telecommunication and wireless network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Stack cell phone towers and modify tower booms
• Inspect climbing gear, tools, and safety equipment before use
• Travel nationwide to assess and repair cell phone towers
• Climb towers 100 feet and higher following strict OSHA safety regulations
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Be available for on-call, weekend, and evening assignments

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role or field preferred but not required-we provide training
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working at heights and following strict safety protocols
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass drug test, background check, and physical exam
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Must be willing to travel 75% of time if needed (gone a week at a time)

Preferred Certifications (Not Required, But a Plus)

• NWSA TTT-I Certification (or higher)
• Rigging Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• OSHA 10
• RF Radiation & Safety Awareness
