What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Roto-Rooter Corporation?
Overview:
Roto-Rooter Corporation is looking for an CNC Operator at our facility in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jon Duties:
- Monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming control.
- Machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)
- Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of G & M Codes, preferred.
- Minimum of 12 months experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CNC mills and lathes.
- Minimum 2-year degree in machining, preferred.
- Ability to read precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gages.
- Ability to speak, write, read and comprehend procedures in English.
- Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)
- Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.
- May stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must have adequate sight to read blueprints.
