Job Summary:
Roto-Rooter is seeking a dynamic and motivated Service Manager to lead our plumbing and drain service operations. This position requires a dedicated leader to drive team performance, ensure high-quality service delivery, and achieve sales and revenue goals. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical knowledge, leadership, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead, train, and develop a team of skilled service technicians, promoting excellent customer service and efficient work practices.
- Scheduling & Dispatching: Oversee technician schedules and coordinate dispatching to meet customer needs and optimize productivity.
- Customer Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for customer issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure satisfaction.
- Sales & Revenue: Set and drive sales goals, encourage upselling services, and work to achieve revenue targets.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain service quality standards by monitoring fieldwork, identifying improvement areas, and supporting technician development.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Inventory & Equipment: Manage inventory levels and oversee maintenance of equipment and tools for efficient service operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years in a management role, ideally in the plumbing, HVAC, or related service industry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree or technical certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, customer service, problem-solving, and sales skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with plumbing or drain systems, along with scheduling/dispatch software experience.
