What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Restoration Technician position at Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup?

We are seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for restoring and cleaning properties that have been affected by water damage, mold, or other disasters. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of the restoration industry and the ability to use power and hand tools effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Perform water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire restoration, and other restoration tasks as assigned
- Clean and sanitize affected areas to ensure safety and prevent further damage
- Use power tools and hand tools to remove damaged materials and prepare surfaces for restoration
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear during restoration projects
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project goals are met
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and quality standards

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire restoration, and other restoration techniques
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for demolition, cleaning, and repair tasks
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning techniques is a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet project deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients
