AS A HORT MANAGER
- You will train and lead the Spray Tech Team in performing the following in accordance with State/Federal Regulations:
- Mix or apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides through sprays, dusts, vapors, soil incorporation, or chemical application on trees, shrubs, lawns, or botanical crops.
HORT MANAGER DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment
- Handling and Moving Objects
- Use plant disease control techniques
- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment
- Read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
- Move or fit heavy objects
- Performing General Physical Activities
- Train new hires and continuing education for current techs
- Employee Performance Evals, progressive discipline, and coaching
- Monitor payroll and departmental budget
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a valid/current state commercial applicators license with general standards and Cat 3 (turf and ornamental)
- Prefer to have Right of Way and Aquatic license also
- Must have a valid state landscape horticulturist license
- Valid driver's license and clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
