SPRAY TECHNICIAN DUTIES INCLUDE
- Accurately and safely calibrating, recording, and applying chemicals to designated landscaped areas to maintain or improve the condition of the plant materials or turf.
- Monitoring targeted areas for existing and potential problems.
- Working independently or with others under little or no supervision.
- Maintaining current, accurate records of products used, problems encountered, or other information essential to the job.
- Lifting and carrying items weighing in excuses of 50 lbs.
- Maintaining and safely operating various equipment, including a spray truck, backpack sprayers, rotary and drop spreaders, and all related application and calibration products.
- Communicating well with others and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Establishing and maintaining safety and security for all employees and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or GED is required.
- One year experience or a minimum of a two-year degree in a related field.
- Must currently have or be able to obtain a Chemical Applicators Certification.
- Must have a valid Class D driver's license and clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with customer service.
- Candidate must be able to walk for long periods of time.
- Must have a willingness to work long hours and a varying schedule.
- Must be willing to work outdoors under varying environmental condition.
