Bondo Technician

Position Summary

Repair damaged helicopter blades by filling dents and imperfections with body filler (commonly known as "Bondo") to create a smooth surface for painting.

Principal Responsibilities

• Identify Dents: Look for dents and other imperfections circling them as they are found
• Operate Tools: Correctly operate hand and power tools such as orbital sanders
• Bondo Application: Mix and apply body filler to fill dents and imperfections
• Sanding and Shaping: Carefully sand the Bondo to achieve a smooth, even surface
• Update Traveler: Record completed work including sandpaper grit and Bondo expiration date
• Use PPE: Properly use all safety equipment, such as respirator, dust mask, and all other PPE

Position Requirements

• Hand Sanding Experience
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift objects up to 50lbs individually.
• Must be able to work on your feet all day performing tasks such as bending, stooping, pulling, reaching, and grabbing.
• Must be able to pass a Federal DOT drug and alcohol screen.

• Experience working with Body Filler (Bondo)
• Drywall Finishing
• Finishing Carpentry Experience
• Autobody Experience
