We are seeking a highly skilled Rotor Blade Technician to join our team at Rotorcraft Repair & Manufacturing LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of helicopter rotor blades.
Job Description
The Rotor Blade Technician will be responsible for a range of tasks including media blasting, metal/composite sanding, painting, sheet metal repairs, composite repairs, light machining, and operating various tools and heavy equipment. They will also be required to document all work performed and recommended on necessary paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Blasting/Grit Blasting: Clean and prepare rotor blades for repair or maintenance
- Metal/Composite Sanding: Smooth and finish metal or composite surfaces
- Metal/Composite Painting: Apply protective coatings to rotor blades
- Sheet Metal Repairs and Composite Repairs: Restore damaged or corroded rotor blade components
- Light Machining: Perform minor cutting, drilling, and shaping operations
- Tool Operation: Use a variety of hand tools and equipment to perform tasks
- Documentation: Record all work performed and recommended on necessary paperwork
Requirements
- Pass a drug and alcohol test
- Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and work on feet all day performing tasks such as bending, stooping, pulling, reaching, and grabbing
- Read, write, and speak English Language
- Be 18 or older
Qualifications
- Experience in rotor blade maintenance, inspection, and repair
- Knowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques for bonded structures
- Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is a plus
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
