We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Production / Warehouse Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team.
The role will be based in Rochester, N.Y. for a period of 12 months. The annual salary for the role is $80,000 to $90,000 per annum
This role is crucial for our upcoming D365 transformation project. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on relabeling racks, naming locations, setting up Points of Use (POU) vs. Points of Transfer (PTO), and ensuring seamless logistics and production operations. Additionally, this role will involve gathering data for routings and timings, implementing agreed setup changes for production, and conducting time studies as necessary.
Qualifications & Technical knowledge
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in logistics, production, or supply chain management, with a focus on system transformations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP systems.
- Lean Background: Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
- Time Studies: Experience in conducting time studies and applying the results to improve processes.
Personal Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS, CPIM).
- Experience with D365 system implementations.
- Knowledge of advanced inventory management techniques.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong project management skills.
